Entry Level Solar Sales (Lead Handler I)

Job Title: Sales Lead Handler 1

Position Type: Full Time

Job Category: Entry Level Sales/Admin

Department: Sales

Role and Responsibilities:
The Sales Lead Handler is the first point of contact for a potential customer, or Lead. The Sales Lead Handler’s primary responsibilities are to:

  1. Vet Leads – Respond to leads in a timely manner.  Leads come in through internet, phone and walk-ins. Sales Lead handler shall facilitate a positive initial contact with leads and start to build a relationship. Sales Lead handler shall confirm the customer’s interest in Solar PV and answer preliminary questions.
  2. Gather information – includes contact information, address of project, utility bills and/or building plans
  3. Transfer Leads – Once the appropriate information has been gathered, the Sales Lead Handler shall transfer the lead to the appropriate salesperson.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Generate Leads via trade shows or other means
  • Availability on nights and weekends for lead response time
  • Be up to date on industry trends
  • Other tasks as assigned

Skills:

  • Data Entry/Data Management – Customer Relationship Program (CRM)/Pipedrive

Solar PV Installer

Candidates for this position may or may not have experience installing Solar PV Systems but will have some experience working in the construction industry. Desired candidate will have a willingness to learn solar installation best practices regardless of experience. and be able to maintain a safe, positive working environment.

Hours: Monday through Friday, full-time position. Willingness to travel.

Department: Solar PV Operations

Reports to: Lead Installer

Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Follow instructed guidelines for installation solar pv systems and show the ability to learn and perform industry best practices.
  • Ability to learn and perform minor construction and finishing projects.
  • Help maintain a clean organized work site.
  • Operate lifts, trenchers, ladder hoists, small tools, etc

Experience and Requirements:

  • Clean driving record and experience pulling trailers.
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • Experience with quality and safety control.

Preferred:

  • Electrical and/or construction experience.
  • Willingness to take on new skills.
  • Ability to travel for up to five days at a time.
  • Adaptability due to potential changes in departmental priority.
  • Positive customer relations experience with clean/presentable appearance.

Lead Electrician, Electrical Services Division

The Service Electricians within the Good Energy Solutions Electrical Services division create, maintain and repair the electrical components used in Residential and Commercial properties. A full-time experienced electrician is needed to service Douglas County and the surrounding areas.

Department: Electrical Division

Reports to: Electrical Division Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Install and Maintain Wiring, Control and Lighting Systems
  • Inspect Electrical Components such as Transformers and Circuit Breakers
  • Identify Electrical Problems with a variety of Test Devices
  • Repair or Replace Wiring, Equipment or Fixtures using Hand and Power Tools
  • Follow State and Local Building Regulations based on the National Electric Code

Solar Admin Assistant

Department: Solar PV Operations

Reports to: Operations Manager

Position Brief: The Administrative Assistant’s role is to support the PV Operations department in receiving phone calls and emails for general information, as well as to assist in interconnection and building permit applications. Some bookkeeping is required, as is maintaining organization of customer and company data.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Making and receiving phone calls for company business, responding to customer and partner inquiries when necessary, or directing contacts to the appropriate personnel.
  • Creating and maintaining company database of information on utilities and regional AHJ’s.
  • Applying for interconnection and building permits.
  • Assisting with ordering materials, inventory management, and light bookkeeping.
  • Scheduling work for PV installation crews with customers and contractors.
  • Communicating with utilities as well as AHJ’s.
  • Receiving or making payments as necessary.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Compiling job folders for new projects.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
  • Forklift or warehouse experience, a plus.

Qualifications:

  • High-School Degree or equivalent, associate degree preferred.
  • Experience with Docusign, Microsoft, Quckbooks, and G-Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Solar PV Electrician

The Solar Electrician is responsible for performing the interconnection of solar PV systems to the grid and or main distribution panels in residential and commercial applications. The position will also assist with the installation of DC raceways and wiring, PV racking, and PV modules when needed. The role will also require that the individual supervise and train PV installers on proper installation of electrical equipment including raceways, wire, inverters, disconnects, taps, and back-fed breakers. Experience with 120/240, 120/208, and 277/480 voltage systems is required, as is attention to detail, working knowledge of the NEC, and strong work ethic.

Department: Solar PV Operations

Reports to: Manager of Operations

Responsibilities: Install PV inverters, split and three-phase, PV inverter output aggregate panels, utility PV generation meter sockets, point of interconnection equipment, and all associated raceways, labels, and wiring.

    • Supervise solar installers as needed.
    • Operate power equipment such as trenchers and mini-excavators
    • Communicate with utility personnel for outage procedures, as well as AHJ’s for inspections.
    • Provide excellent customer service.

Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to work in all weather conditions in which work can safely be performed on roofs, in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and fields.
    • Must be capable of heavy lifting as needed during installation of solar PV and electrical equipment.

Qualifications:

    • High-School Degree or Equivalent, Associate’s Degree preferred
    • Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
    • Master or Journeyman Electrician qualification KS/MO preferred

Solar PV Supervisor/Lead Installer

Candidates for this position will have experience installing Solar PV Systems for Residential, Commercial, and Utility customers. Will have a working knowledge of PV systems including roof and ground-mount solar arrays. Will have experience with various racking systems, electrical wiring, monitoring, construction, small trenching and excavation equipment. The candidate will have supervisory experience managing small crews by providing a safe, efficient working environment. The prospective candidate we are looking for will have or be working toward their NABCEP® Solar PV Installation Professional certification, or have passed or is studying for the Journeyman Electrician exam. Desired candidate will be able to maintain a safe, positive working environment.

Hours: Monday through Friday, full-time position. Willingness to travel.

Department: Solar PV Operations

Reports to: Manager of Operations

    • Responsible for staging material to be transported to job site.
    • Train and direct crew members in industry standard best practices for installation of Solar PV systems.
    • Install inverters, racking, modules, electrical wiring, excavating for ground-mount systems.
    • Operate lifts, trenchers, ladder hoists, small tools, etc.
    • Build concrete forms, reinforce roof structures, perform minor construction and finishes on projects.
    • Interact and manage customer’s needs, maintain a clean organized work site.
    • Operate and maintain company vehicles, track when preventative maintenance is necessary.
    • Direct crew members in troubleshooting electrical and monitoring issues.

Experience and Requirements:

    • 3-5 years PV installation experience.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Clean driving record and experience pulling trailers.
    • Electrical and or construction experience.
    • Experience with quality and safety control.
    • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
    • Positive customer relations experience with clean/presentable appearance.

Preferred:

    • NABCEP® Solar PV Installation Professional certification.
    • Journeyman Electrician license.
    • Ability to travel for up to five days at a time.

Solar PV Designer

The PV Designer works with Salespeople and Project Managers to develop detailed plans for the installation of PV systems, including bills of material per project. The Designer then submits plan-sets to AHJ’s for building permit approval, and to utilities for interconnection approval. Upon receiving both approvals, the Designer hands the projects back to the PM’s, and upon project completion will notify utility of completion. Experience with installing photovoltaic systems and operating AutoCAD is required, as is attention to detail, a working knowledge of the NEC, and strong work ethic.

Hours: Monday through Friday, full-time position.

Department: Solar PV Operations

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities Include:

    • Meeting with Project Managers and salespeople to come up with plan for installation.
    • Taking measurements of buildings upon which solar equipment will be installed, both physically and with a drone.
    • Designing code compliant PV arrays using Aurora, Helioscope, and AutoCAD as needed.
    • Producing buildable plan-sets for PV installations.
    • Applying for interconnection permission with local utilities.
    • Applying for building permits with local AHJ’s.
    • Upon receiving AHJ and utility approval, handing the project back to the appropriate Project Manager.
    • Providing excellent customer service.

Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to work in all weather conditions in which work can safely be performed on roofs, in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and fields.
    • Must be capable of heavy lifting as needed during installation of solar PV and electrical equipment.
    • Must be capable of working in busy office setting while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications:

    • High-School Degree or Equivalent, Associate’s Degree preferred.
    • Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
    • NABCEP PV Installer or Designer certification required.

Compensation:

    • $42,000-$50,000/yr DOE.
    • Access to company vehicle as needed.
    • Company cellphone for taking photos and videos in field, uploading them to company files, as well as other company communications.
